Fiberglass prepreg skins hot-pressed and bonded to an aluminum honeycomb core. Excellent strength-to-weight ratio, dimensional stability, and electrical resistivity. The glass fiber skins provide higher specific strength than aluminum and can increase stiffness without substantially raising weight. Not recommended for marine applications due to galvanic corrosion potential.
